Experience Sri Lanka’s incredible biodiversity on a focused 10-day wildlife tour. This trip is built specifically for nature lovers and active travelers. We take you through a wide range of environments across the island. You will explore dense rainforests, dry plains, and cool mountain forests. It is a practical, well-paced way to see the country’s best national parks and conservation areas.
The trip starts near the western wetlands before heading north to Wilpattu National Park. Wilpattu is the largest park on the island and is known for its peaceful, lake-filled landscape. From there, you will travel to the Sigiriya area to observe the large elephant herds in Minneriya. Next, you will leave the safari vehicles behind for a guided trek through the rugged Knuckles Mountain Range. Afterward, the route climbs up into the central highlands for a scenic walk across Horton Plains.
The second half of your tour highlights the famous southern and eastern wildlife reserves. You will visit Udawalawe to see its thriving elephant population up close. Next, you will explore Yala National Park to look for native leopards and bears. We also include a dedicated stop at Kumana National Park, which is an excellent location for spotting rare coastal birds.
Your wildlife tracking wraps up with a guided walk through the Sinharaja Rainforest. This important nature reserve is home to many rare, native species found nowhere else in the world. After the rainforest, you will have time to rest on the southern coast before heading home. Ceylon Crown Holidays handles all the driving, guides, and accommodations so you can focus entirely on the experience.
